Voice agents

The calls you miss are the jobs you lose.

Obra builds a voice agent that answers every call, asks what you would ask, books the work, and tells you what it caught. Set up for your business by the engineer who builds it, not a template you configure yourself.

For any business that runs on its phone — home services and trades, clinics, salons, shops, studios.

After hours

A business open eight hours a day is closed for the other sixteen. The calls keep arriving anyway.

On a job

Hands full, phone in the truck. By the time you call back, they have already booked someone else.

Two at once

The second caller hears a busy tone and moves straight down their list of names.

The gaps

Lunch, the drive between jobs, Saturday morning. Every gap in the day is a gap in the schedule.

It answers like someone who works there.

Because it was set up around how your business actually runs, not around a generic script for “a business”.

What it does

  • Answers on the first ring, at any hour, in a voice you approved
  • Asks the questions you would ask — what is wrong, where, how soon
  • Books straight into your calendar, or holds the slot for you to confirm
  • Texts and emails you a summary the moment the call ends
  • Puts real emergencies straight through to your phone
  • Handles the questions you are tired of answering: hours, area, what you do and don't take on

What it doesn't do

  • Quote complicated work. It gathers the detail and leaves the number to you
  • Argue with an upset caller. It takes the details and escalates
  • Claim to be a person. If someone asks directly, it tells them
  • Replace you on the calls that need you. It clears the ones that don't
  • Get sold to you when it won't pay for itself. If you already catch nearly every call, we'll say so on the first call

How it starts.

Four steps, in order, usually inside two weeks.

01

We listen

You send over a handful of real calls, or we talk through the ones you take most often. We learn your services, your area, your pricing rules, and the questions that come up every week.

02

We write it

The greeting, the questions, the booking rules, and what counts as an emergency. In plain language, in a document you read and change before anything goes live.

03

We test it

You call it. Your team calls it. We tune it until it sounds like your business and handles the awkward calls, not just the easy ones.

04

It goes live

Forwarded from the number you already use, so nothing on your trucks, cards, or listings has to change. You keep the number, and you can turn the forwarding off whenever you want.

What it costs.

A one-time build, then a monthly. These are starting prices — what changes them is what the agent needs to connect to and how much call volume you actually do. You get the real number in writing before any work starts.

To build it
from$250once

Learning your business, writing the script, testing it, and getting it live on your number. It moves with what the agent has to talk to and how involved the booking rules are.

Then monthly
from$95/ month

The base tier includes 100 minutes of answered calls, roughly fifty calls at two minutes each. Month to month, cancel whenever.

  • Answers day and night, in a voice you approved
  • Booking into your calendar
  • Text and email summaries after every call
  • Emergency escalation to your phone
  • Script changes whenever you want them
  • The engineer who built it, not a queue

Cheaper tools exist and you configure them yourself; a human answering service costs several times this and still has to be told how your business works. The build fee is the difference — someone sits down, learns the job, and tunes it before it answers a single call. Connecting it to a calendar is straightforward; wiring it into field service software or a CRM is more work, and the quote says so up front.

Questions, answered.

Does it sound like a robot?

It sounds like a calm person on a clear line. You pick the voice and approve how it talks before it answers a single call. It also never claims to be a human if someone asks directly — that one is not negotiable.

What happens if it can't answer something?

It takes the details and hands off. Real emergencies ring straight through to your phone. Anything it is unsure about becomes a message with the caller's number and what they wanted, so you are never guessing what the call was about.

Do I keep my phone number?

Yes. It works by forwarding from the number you already use, so nothing on your trucks, your cards, or your listings has to change. Turn the forwarding off and calls ring your phone exactly as they do today.

What if I want to change how it talks?

Tell us and we change it. Script changes are part of the monthly price, and you are talking to the person who built it rather than filing a ticket.

What if it isn't worth it for my business?

We will tell you on the first call. If you are already catching nearly every call, this will not pay for itself, and we would rather say so than sell it to you.
